Maurice Meade, You Beauty!

<p>Last week I spent an entire afternoon being pampered by the Maurice Meade dream team at Whitfords.</p> <p>I've been a regular at the salon for about 18 months, so was super excited to be invited back in to check out salons new essential beauty offering for a mani/pedi and some brow TLC - but also to talk balayage, blonde and wavy layers with Style Director/Colourist, Conor and Head Stylist Tara.</p> <p>I wanted to freshen up my tresses and turn up the blonde a notch. Winter is well on its way and there has never been a better time to lighten up...</p>

Yoga Retreat? I’m Down, Dog.

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You can probably tell from my blog and Instagram that I’m a little obsessed with Yoga and Pilates. Practicing both regularly as part of a healthy lifestyle and exercise routine keeps me in the best shape – and my mind centred and balanced.</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">At the end of last year, a few girlfriends and I headed out to Kookaburra Creek in the Perth Hills for a </span><span class="s2">Yoga Day Retreat</span><span class="s1">, ran by three gorgeous yogis; Hayley, Sara and Susie. We enjoyed ourselves so much (hell, I even blogged about it!), we decided to book places on their Summer Yoga Retreat which took place at the</span><span class="s1"> tranquil, green, spacious and serene Cottesloe Civic Centre - w</span><span class="s1">ithout doubt, the perfect venue for a day of chilled relaxation and restoration...</span></p> <p> </p>

Blooms & Birdies

Inspiration, Perthect - 3 April, 2016

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Claremont underwent a 48hr creative overhaul this weekend as the PUBLIC 2016 Platform Festival took over the town centre! Bayview Terrace and Lemon Lane were transformed into an interactive wonderland of creativity by twenty teams of Perth's brightest minds - surrounded by live music, food trucks and an awesome pop up bar for the official opening party last night - which was such fun!</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Okay, I admit that the main PUBLIC 2016 pull for me was going to see the stunning new street art by my favourite Perth urban artist, Anya Brock - but I was super taken with 'The Language of Flowers', an incredible, pretty creation, consisting of hundreds of beautiful paper flowers dangling from the ceiling - in a whole kaleidoscope of colour…</span></p>

Okay, I admit that the main PUBLIC 2016 pull for me was going to see the stunning new street art by my favourite Perth urban artist, Anya Brock - but I was super taken with 'The Language of Flowers', an incredible, pretty creation, consisting of hundreds of beautiful paper flowers dangling from the ceiling - in a whole kaleidoscope of colour…

Happy Halfayearsary!

Inspiration - 1 April, 2016

<p>The past six months since I launched my blog (I still love typing that; "my blog" - it sounds so awesome) have been amazing. Sure, I probably would have said that six months ago about the six months before, and probably the six months that came before then, because I've never been happier since living in Australia. But the past six months have been particularly special because, I've basically documented the shit out of them through my very own slice of cyber-space...</p> <p>It's been really insightful to scroll back through my blogs and reminisce for this post... I'm so proud of each and every blog I've published - and that I have stayed true to only posting about Australian adventures, lifestyle and brands. </p> <p>I’ve never been in this for the cash or freebies, which is a good job as I wouldn’t have a lot to show for six months worth of work! Creative writing, photography, Marketing and Social Media are all absolute passions of mine, and all areas which I have both qualifications and heaps of experience in. So blogging as a hobby, marketing my content and establishing my vision/brand came incredibly naturally to me.</p>

It's been really insightful to scroll back through my blogs and reminisce for this post... I'm so proud of each and every blog I've published - and that I have stayed true to only posting about Australian adventures, lifestyle and brands. 

I’ve never been in this for the cash or freebies, which is a good job as I wouldn’t have a lot to show for six months worth of work! Creative writing, photography, Marketing and Social Media are all absolute passions of mine, and all areas which I have both qualifications and heaps of experience in. So blogging as a hobby, marketing my content and establishing my vision/brand came incredibly naturally to me.
