When the Maurice Meade dream team invited me to take part in their latest colourful campaign in collaboration with Evo, I literally let out a little sqweee of excitement. Does a unicorn shit glitter? Hell yeah, I was totally keen.
I immediately started dreaming about what colour they had planned for my blonde tresses… Maybe they’d go for blue…or purple…or, OMG – maybe PINK?! There was literally a rainbow of colourful opportunities.
So when I discovered my hair colour for the shoot would be… wait for it… MUSHROOM BROWN, I couldn’t help but feel a teeny tiny bit disappointed. Okay, okay – I was devo. The one chance I had to go a crazy colour and I was going back to basics. Quite literally, to my roots.
Sigh. I know – first world problems, right?
Because they’re total babes at Maurice Meade though, they compromised – agreeing to pink up my locks after I’d embraced the fungi look. And so, I was sold.
Being pink was lots of fun – it’s amazing how much colour can completely transform your look. It just so happened that on the week I turned pink, Thor turned three! It was of course the event of the year at our house – and our coordinated pink hair and feathers just made it even more flocking fabulous.
But, you know when you just have to take a moment to sit back and admit that, actually… MUSHROOM IS KIND OF A HOT LOOK. I reckon the ‘shroom totally had it going on. Funnily enough, most of the pics below are of the Mushroom rather than the pink. Those Maurice Meade gurus sure do know their stuff.
Literally had such a fun day shooting with all the girls and playing dress up in all the scrumptious silky gorgeousness of One Fell Swoop – getting paired up to shoot with my fellow Maurice Meade ambassador Kellie was just dreamy (because she’s totally my favourite MM model).
Love my pink/’shroom hair as much as I do, but got issues with commitment? I feel you. Thanks to the boffins at Evo, I can be this crazy wild when the mood takes me – and back to blonde in just a few washes! Unleash your inner unicorn with the Maurice Meade team today and kiss goodbye to ordinary tresses… at least for a few washes anyway!
I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for Maurice Meade.
