So after about 10,723,495 years of saving – okay, okay after about ten years of saving, I finally own my very own little patch of planet, right here in WA.
I’m officially a homeowner! And it feels AH-MAZING! Adulting SO HARD right now.
It’s been a rather stressful six weeks going through the whole process and what felt like never-ending fees, forms to complete (my signature has evolved into a simple squiggle), and sleepless nights about taking on such responsibility all on my own – but it has all been worth it. The moment I got the keys to this dreamy house in my hand, all the anxiety and worry was worth it.
This little blog of mine may be a tiny bit quiet over the next month or so as I deep dive into the colourful world of DIY, decorating and interior design (on like a budget of $0 – hello, Gumtree!), understanding how the ACTUAL F an offset mortgage account works and getting to grips with priming walls, pool maintenance and making packed lunches for the rest of my life.
BUT, I’ll be back in February with some awesome little posts – including a chic collaboration with Go Go Furniture and a fitness challenge I’m still not entirely convinced I am going to be able to survive…
