Just an hours drive north of Perth lies Two Rocks, a sleepy little fishing town with a quaint harbour, majestic bushland and unspoilt beaches. It's also home to one of Perth's most awesome secrets - the abandoned Atlantis Marine Park.
The park, which initially opened in 1981, was set to be the glittering feature of Alan Bond's ‘Yanchep Sun City’ vision – a premier leisure, resort and residential hub riding on the back of Perth's rapid expansion. But hopes for the park were ahead of their time and it closed it's doors for the last time in 1990, just nine years after opening. It has been left abandoned ever since.
35 years later Atlantis is now an overgrown marine world that once was and has been almost completely retaken by nature...
