Easter has always been one of my favourite holidays, mainly because Spring is my favourite season. Although now I’m living Down Under in the Southern Hemisphere, Easter signifies the beginning of autumn and kisses Summer a final farewell… which I’m totally cool with as it’s 28 degrees outside as I’m typing this – and I secretly adore Australian winters.
Easter is the perfect time to enjoy quality time with friends and family, and be thankful for everything we have. Life can be incredibly tough at times, so it’s important to take some well-deserved time out to just breathe, reflect and appreciate how lucky we are to have what we have, rather than what we wish for. And of course stuff our faces with chocolate.
I just had to share these cute snaps of me and my fluffy little rascals, Thor and Kenickie. I was trying to get just one simple snap with them on my iPhone for an Easter Instagram post, but it turned into a 45 minute saga with feathers, bird shit and bunny ears flying everywhere! Thor is so boisterous, little Kenickie kept trying the hide from him in my hair – not the best model behaviour. Although when it came to munching sunflower seeds and attacking the bunny ears later, they were more than happy to team up!
This is my very first B&W blog post – I was just playing around with the photo edits and figured there’s nothing quite like going back to basics. Loving the result!
Hope you all have a gorgeous long weekend!

Oh Katie, this is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you had a good easter and enjoy our lovely WA weather!
Thanks Anne! We had a gorgeous Easter – the weather was so refreshing! Hope you had a ‘sweet’ break too 🙂
What cuties! Aw! Have a great Easter lady! I have been enjoying your posts, and now added both the Atlantis place and those dunes higher on my list to go visit. Looks like fun. Where do you guys go to yoga? I either go to Yogaworx and sometimes Beach Pilates or Yoga Alchemy, but there are so many great places around town! xx Jenelle

Thanks for reading Jenelle! As they say, never work with animals, haha. Yes, you must visit Atlantis and The Lancelin Dunes! I really want to hit up the dunes again for some sandboarding – it looks epic.
I have such a variety of places I go to for Yoga & Pilates – my favourites are Sense of Space in Subi (many teachers also practise at North Perth Pilates Studio), Kavan’s Pilates Flow in Bassendean and an awesome little barre studio called The Lotus Room in Coolbinia. Yoga by the Coast is taken by the same lady who takes the Yoga practise at my gym in Craigie – although I’m yet to try it! I quite like to go and do my own thing at the beach – particularly in Winter when it’s cool & quiet. I recently practised at Rooftop yoga which was great – and just amazing at sunrise! Although it was a very early start.
I’ve heard Yoga Alchemy is great – I’ll have to head down! xx
