Anyone who knows me, knows how much I adore chasing a good adventure... So when my girlfriend suggested visiting Lesmurdie Falls after she saw it on the Perth To Do Instagram, I was packed and ready to go in under an hour.
Located just 40 minutes out of Perth (including coffee stops), the stunning Lesmurdie Falls are nestled deep in the hills east of Perth, in the aptly named lush Lesmurdie Falls National Park...
My latest collaboration came together, as they so often do, through the old 'gram. Local make-up artist Cat reached out by commenting on one of my posts, and we soon began emailing to arrange a date for us to meet and 'get creative' together! Within a week, Cat had a full styled shoot arranged and collaborations set up with Perth photographer Terry Lok and hairstylist Rachelle Lord. I know, très excité!
Cat went for a stormy-glow look, with heaps of silver, grey and earthy-peach tones. We had so much fun getting ready for the shoot, playing with make-up, giggling like teenagers and listing to Swifty... Who's 'Out of the Woods' video was the initial mood inspiration behind this shoot.
I was keen to shoot at the beach - it's my favourite place in the world, no matter what the season. We were so lucky with the magical weather - totally lucking out with stormy blue-grey skies, moody silver-grey ocean and luscious, mossy sand dunes on the Ocean Reef cliffs...

At the end of last year, a few girlfriends and I headed out to Kookaburra Creek in the Perth Hills for a Yoga Day Retreat, ran by three gorgeous yogis; Hayley, Sara and Susie. We enjoyed ourselves so much (hell, I even blogged about it!), we decided to book places on their Summer Yoga Retreat which took place at the tranquil, green, spacious and serene Cottesloe Civic Centre - without doubt, the perfect venue for a day of chilled relaxation and restoration...
I was lucky enough to be invited on a twilight sail out on the Swan River recently, and just had to share all my pictures from the evening!
We set sail from the Perth Yacht Club just after 6pm and sailed along the river until dusk set in around an hour and a half later and we had an absolute blast! It was both fun and terrifying at the same time - and totally exhilarating to be out on the open water. Seeing the iconic Perth skyline peeking out between the sails and slowly beginning to glitter as twilight set in was pretty magical too…

In the two years that I've lived in WA, I have now visited the pretty little island six times - and even saw in 2016 at their NYE Beach Party... So you can imagine my delight when the lovely guys at Rottnest Fast Ferries got in touch to say how much they loved my NYE blog - and to invite me on a day trip over to Rotto on their shiny new vessel, Voyager!
Just an hours drive north of Perth lies Two Rocks, a sleepy little fishing town with a quaint harbour, majestic bushland and unspoilt beaches. It's also home to one of Perth's most awesome secrets - the abandoned Atlantis Marine Park.
The park, which initially opened in 1981, was set to be the glittering feature of Alan Bond's ‘Yanchep Sun City’ vision – a premier leisure, resort and residential hub riding on the back of Perth's rapid expansion. But hopes for the park were ahead of their time and it closed it's doors for the last time in 1990, just nine years after opening. It has been left abandoned ever since.
35 years later Atlantis is now an overgrown marine world that once was and has been almost completely retaken by nature...
Two yoga enthusiasts, a mean 4x4 and 2 kilometres of pure white, crisp sand dunes…
Tucked away just behind the pretty bay town of Lancelin, about an hour and a half drive north of Perth, the Lancelin sand dunes are the largest in Western Australia consisting of nothing but pure white, fine sand. They are approx. two kilometres long, three storeys high and because of the lack of vegetation (none, zilch, zero), they provide the perfect spot for dirt bikes, four wheel driving, sand-boarding... and Yoga.
Yep, you read that right. Yoga.
