Today marks FIVE YEARS of living in Aussie!
I couldn’t not draft a quick little blog post (my first of 2019!) to mark the occasion.
Despite my terrible neglect of this little blog of mine recently… I think perhaps my career is giving me the incredible creative outlet I craved for so long!
I can’t quite believe it’s been five years. That’s like, half a decade – 1,825 days! And yet I still fall in love with this delicious island/country/continent a little more each day.
While I do miss my beautiful Britain (and everyone and everything that comes with it) – I’m a little bit obsessed with living in the most isolated city in the world. Perth, you’re totally my favourite!
So here’s a cute snap of me outside of work to mark the occasion… right before I went inside to toast to it. Oooh, the perks of working in hospitality!

I moved from Colomboa to Perth 12 years ago, and we have been in love ever since. The people the city and the weather… perfect
