<p><i><b><center>"Blonde is more than a hair colour. It's a state of mind."</center></b></i></P> <P>Over the past couple of weeks, if I had a dollar for the amount of times I’ve been asked whether I feature in the new Maurice Meade TV commercial - I’d be buying the next round of bubbles. This has amused me no end - primarily because I never realised how many people actually watch ‘Married at First Sight’ - which is the prime-time TV programme that the gorgeous new Maurice Meade adverts debuted on earlier this month… But also because, YEAH IT’S ME ON A TV AD WHICH PLAYS ON PRIME TIME TV! Hehehe.</p> <p>When the dream team at Maurice Meade reached out late last year to see if I would like to feature in their 2018 campaign, I jumped at the chance. The concept of the campaign was to be focussed around blondes - the different ways to “wear” blonde, and how being blonde makes me feel...</p>

The Secret Garden

I'm often asked what I miss most about living in England. Friends, family, history (and fashion) aside, I truly miss the rolling green hills, the earthy, leafy woods and the oh-so-English country rose gardens. Yes, I really do miss the lush things all that darn rain and drizzle brings. So, you can imagine my excitement when I learnt about Perth's Secret Garden...</P> <P>Yep, Perth has a Secret Garden. Well, a not-so-secret-garden actually - thanks to the copious amounts of coverage it attracts on Social Media! Located close to several highways, and right in the middle of suburbia, it’s difficult to see how such a magical garden could ever remain a secret even without Social Media (and Google Maps)!</P> <P>Stepping into the garden, you’re immediately immersed into an enchanted wonderland, with wild vines sprawling across the woodland floors, twining into hollow logs and around fallen branches. The vines have even crept up the willowy trees, dangling over the banks of the still, glittering river - completely transforming the space into something quite magical...</P>

Yep, Perth has a Secret Garden. Well, a not-so-secret-garden actually - thanks to the copious amounts of coverage it attracts on Social Media! Located close to several highways, and right in the middle of suburbia, it’s difficult to see how such a magical garden could ever remain a secret even without Social Media (and Google Maps)!

Stepping into the garden, you’re immediately immersed into an enchanted wonderland, with wild vines sprawling across the woodland floors, twining into hollow logs and around fallen branches. The vines have even crept up the willowy trees, dangling over the banks of the still, glittering river - completely transforming the space into something quite magical...

Stormborn.

<p>Four Perth creatives, the exquisite scenery of Ocean Reef Beach and some unreal, magical weather... </p> <p>This blog is a follow up to my 'Out of the Woods' post from last month, where I was lucky enough to collaborate with three very talented Perth creatives. The collaboration came together, as they so often do, through good old Instagram. Local make-up artist Cat reached out to see if I'd be interested in being photographed for a styled shoot (err, hello? Yes!), and soon set up a date with local Perth photographer Terry Lok and hairstylist Rachelle Lord.</p> <p>The beach is my favourite place to be in the world, no matter what the season - and was therefore the natural location choice for this shoot. Ocean Reef Beach is just stunning. Ridiculously full of texture, with stretching beaches, rocky coves and sandy cliffs. We were so lucky with the moody winter weather! When we shot this a month ago, Perth was in the middle of a week of epic storms - so we were treated to grey stormy skies, swirly silver ocean and magical sunbeams peeking out from behind the rolling clouds...</p>

Out Of The Woods

<p>My latest collaboration came together, as they so often do, through the old 'gram. Local make-up artist Cat reached out by commenting on one of my posts, and we soon began emailing to arrange a date for us to meet and 'get creative' together! Within a week, Cat had a full styled shoot arranged and collaborations set up with Perth photographer Terry Lok and hairstylist Rachelle Lord. I know, très excité!</p> <p>Cat went for a stormy-glow look, with heaps of silver, grey and earthy-peach tones. We had so much fun getting ready for the shoot, playing with make-up, giggling like teenagers and listing to Swifty... Who's 'Out of the Woods' video was the initial mood inspiration behind this shoot. </p> <p>I was keen to shoot at the beach - it's my favourite place in the world, no matter what the season. We were so lucky with the magical weather - totally lucking out with stormy blue-grey skies, moody silver-grey ocean and luscious, mossy sand dunes on the Ocean Reef cliffs...</p>

Maurice Meade, You Beauty!

<p>Last week I spent an entire afternoon being pampered by the Maurice Meade dream team at Whitfords.</p> <p>I've been a regular at the salon for about 18 months, so was super excited to be invited back in to check out salons new essential beauty offering for a mani/pedi and some brow TLC - but also to talk balayage, blonde and wavy layers with Style Director/Colourist, Conor and Head Stylist Tara.</p> <p>I wanted to freshen up my tresses and turn up the blonde a notch. Winter is well on its way and there has never been a better time to lighten up...</p>
